It's a non-judgemental space where you can discuss and explore your challenges, concerns, and questions surrounding intimacy, relationships, sexuality, sexual health, and well-being.

People go to sex therapy for many different reasons which can include-

• problems with emotional intimacy

• physical issues- pain, dysfunction, or ejaculation concerns

• inability to orgasm

• arousal issues

• gender identity exploration and/or dysmorphia

• difficulties forming or maintaining relationships

• life changes- childbirth; surgery; menopause; grief; empty nesters and changes in anatomy

• kink or fetish exploration

• sexual compulsions/out of control sexual behaviours (formally called sex addiction)

• post traumatic growth

After trauma has occurred, you are supported to understand and explore what has happened in a safe and compassionate environment and heal from these experiences.

Couples go to therapy for a variety of different reasons which can include-

• infidelity and/or trust issues

• a lack of emotional closeness or sexual intimacy

• different sex drives

• a change in relationship dynamics

• a change in lifestyle- childbirth, surgery/health, menopause, empty nesters, retirement

• support surrounding the exploration of kinks or fetishes

I have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Social Sciences (Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology); a Post Graduate certificate of proficiency in Trauma (Otago Polytechnic); a Master's degree in indigenous studies, majoring in mental health and indigenous identities (Otago University); and Advanced Sex Therapy Training (Sex Therapy New Zealand). I have also spent the last several years working in the health and social services industry. I am a registered social worker (SWRB), an ACC registered service provider and a member of Aotearoa New Zealand Association of Social Workers (ANZASW). 

I am an informed IFS therapist and EMDR trained (EMDRNZ).

My approach is always person-centred, and my favoured modalities of practice are IFS and EMDR therapy.

A 50-minute individual session is $150.00 and a couples' session is $185.00. These prices include GST.

I am an ACC approved Named Service Provider. Full ACC funding is available for those who meet the Sensitive Claims criteria. I am also happy to support you with applying for funding via MSD, if you meet their eligibility criteria. Please contact me for more information.
